The B.S. in EMAC prepares students for employment or advanced study in fields such as multimedia production, website and graphic design, advertising and marketing, video and audio production, computer game design, and graduate study in the arts and in communication. Recent graduates have been placed in Fortune 500 corporations, graphic arts firms, commercials animation companies, game design studios, or have founded their own start-up enterprises. The Rensselaer Career Development Center is available to help students in their job search.

Graduates of the EMAC program are or have been employed in a number of capacities at such recognized companies as Blue Sky Animation Studios, MTV, the Discovery Channel, Forbes Magazine, General Electric, IBM, Pandemic Studios, Imagine Software, Random House Publishing, Vicarious Visions, the American Museum of Natural History, Boston University, and Xerox Corporation, to name just a few.
